ANT Foundation - New Medication Delivery Vehicle

The ANT Foundation will have a new means of delivering medications and medical devices to the homes of the more than 1,200 cancer patients it assists every day in Bologna and its surrounding province.

“It is with great satisfaction that we have lent our support to such a commendable project, and we are very pleased to have had the opportunity to collaborate,” said Franco Vanetti, General Manager and CEO of Duetorrihotels spa. “The success of this initiative is a source of pride for us: solidarity has always been part of our DNA, and it is one of the ways we express our connection to the local community.” The Grand Hotel Majestic “già Baglioni” and, more broadly, our group’s properties stand alongside organizations like ANT that work every day to build a more inclusive society that is attentive to people’s needs.

The vehicle, a Fiat Fiorino, was presented to ANT during an official ceremony by Katia Gruppioni, president of AIDDA Emilia Romagna—the Association of Female Entrepreneurs and Business Executives—and is the magnificent result of the “Gala for Women and the Men Who Love Them,” organized by the association to mark International Women’s Day and supported by Antonella Lambri, private banker at San Paolo Invest, and the Grand Hotel Majestic “già Baglioni”, a member of the Duetorrihotels spa group and the venue for the event on March 8.

The evening—dedicated by President Gruppioni to the memory of Professor Pannuti and to the figure of entrepreneur Marisa Monti Riffeser—made it possible to achieve this ambitious and important goal: We are very grateful to AIDDA for organizing this prestigious event in support of the ANT Foundation specifically to coincide with International Women’s Day; Our gratitude also extends to the Grand Hotel Majestic for its hospitality, to Antonella Lambri, Private Banker at San Paolo Invest, for her significant support, as well as to all the organizations that generously contributed.

“It was a special evening, not least because of the outcome,” said Eleonora Gazzotti of the ANT Foundation. “Just like medical equipment, vehicles are essential for providing our specialized home care services because they allow us to reach our patients at home and provide them with all the necessary equipment to ensure a comfortable stay at home,” commented Raffaella Pannuti, president of the ANT Foundation - Just consider that in 2018 alone, ANT made a tangible contribution to patients’ quality of life by delivering over 5,800 medical aids and devices, such as hospital beds and wheelchairs.
