Motorcycles from Bologna from the 1950s and 1960s
At the Museo del Patrimonio Industriale (Museum of Industrial Heritage), an exhibition of 32 motorbikes of the most important brands of the 1950s and 1960s can be visited from 17 October, together with numerous video clips from the Istituto Luce and vintage images that complete the exhibition.
The Museum of Industrial Heritage in Bologna presents the exhibition Bolognese motorbikes of the years 1950-1960. On display are 32 motorbikes of the most important brands of the past, correlated with films of the Istituto Luce and images that describe the glorious past of Emilian engines, between production and competition; in fact, it was in these years that, from the point of view of competition, the Italian and World Championships, national and international races, as well as cross-country road races, became the sporting events par excellence, the only ones able to ensure prestige and notoriety. In the 125 to 250cc class, Ducati, Mondial and Moto Morini excel, companies that can afford the high costs of racing teams.
