Giulio II e Raffaello. A new season of the Renaissance in Bologna
With the arrival in the city of artists such as Raphael, Michelangelo or Bramante, coinciding with a coup d'état initiated by Pope Julius II della Rovere, Bologna was in the midst of an era of renewed prosperity.
A new exhibition project commemorates its artistic legacy at the Pinacoteca Nazionale. Opening October 8, 2022 to February 5, 2023, it will feature one of Raphael's greatest masterpieces—the Portrait of Julius II. This is just one highlight among many on display during this exciting event.
